Tilo Kids

For autistic children and their families

A calm, safe space for your child on the tablet

Tilo Kids is an Android app that shows your child only the videos and photos you chose, helps them say what they need with picture cards that speak, and keeps screen time calm and predictable. No ads, and no internet needed.

The trial is completely free until 20 November

The Tilo Kids talk board: eat, drink, toilet, help

Made by the father of an autistic boy

Tilo Kids started at home. I needed a simple tool to keep my son's screen time calm and to help him tell us what he wants, and I couldn't find one that was quiet and free of ads. Every feature comes from a real moment in our family, and it keeps growing with feedback from the parents and specialists who test it.

Everything you need, nothing you don't

The Tilo Kids talk board: eat, drink, toilet, help

Say what they need with one touch

A talk board with cards for eat, drink, toilet and help. Your child taps a card and the tablet says it clearly, in Egyptian Arabic, Standard Arabic or English, or in your own recorded voice.

Food cards: pasta, rice, sandwich, chicken and more

Choose what they want

Each need opens picture choices: rice, pasta, chicken, juice and more. Add cards with photos from your own home, and pick which cards show at each meal.

Content you choose

Only videos and photos from the device. It has nothing to do with YouTube, and your child can't wander off to anything else.

Control repetition

Decide how many times a video can repeat and how long to wait before it plays again, and turn off skipping.

Calm screen time

Sessions with a set length, a break after each, and a bedtime. Videos finish gently instead of cutting off.

Parent mode is locked

Settings and adding content sit behind a PIN, so your child can't change anything.

Common questions

Does it have anything to do with YouTube?

No. A parent or specialist adds videos and photos from the device itself, and your child sees only those.

Does it need internet?

Not while your child uses it: everything is stored on the device. During the trial, the device needs to go online at least once every 3 days.

Which devices does it work on?

Android phones and tablets. An iPhone and iPad version is in progress; sign up and we'll tell you when it's ready.

Do you collect data about my child?

No. Everything stays on the device, with no ads and no tracking. Details are in the privacy policy.

Is it a replacement for AAC apps?

The talk board is a simple start for everyday communication with pictures and voice, not a full replacement for specialised AAC apps. Your feedback on it matters to us.
